General Circulation Section/Filipiniana Collection In-charge

Service Hours :   

       7:30 A.M. – 6:30 P.M. daily           

  9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. (Saturdays)

      Filipiniana collection includes books written by Filipinos and books about the Philippines. 

Users may loan out 2 books  at a time for 2 day, except those marked “Library Use” Fiction Books may be borrowed for a week and are due every Wednesday. 

* High School textbooks are temporarily stocked in this section, and may be loaned out for a day only

GENERAL CIRCULATION SECTION

          The Circulation Section is the backbone of the Library. Faculty and students of the college usually come to borrow  and returned books. 

The Circulation Section performs the following functions:

  • Issues borrowers cards.
  • Issue and receipt of reading material, to and from students and faculty and client
  • Collects delay fines for overdue book
  • Sends reminders for overdue books.
  • Settles cases regarding the books lost or damaged by the members.
  • Issues the Library Clearance Certificates.
  •  Helps the library users in finding the required material and guides them in the use of library catalogue.
  • Shelves the reading material on the racks that had been returned by the borrowers and taken from the shelves for reading.
  • Keeps statistics of daily transactions.


            This unit is functioning on the second floor. Circulation counter is located near the entrance as you enter the second floor. The books have been arranged according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme (000 to 999).

To provide easy access to books and other reading materials, an Online Public Access Catalog is provided  near the circulation section.  Adjacent to it, is the Card catalog Cabinet where printed cards have been placed for use by the students, faculty in case of brown out.


 FILIPINIANA COLLECTIONS

                The Filipiniana collection is adjacent to the general circulation section.  Filipiniana collections includes all Philippine-related books and non-book materials written by  Filipino or non-Filipino authors in whatever language they may be written and place where they may have been printed.  

These materials are for Library use only.
